Will My Mattress Get Body Impressions?
At Relax Bedding, our team at our Perth bedding stores are asked this question all the time.
Body impressions are quite normal in modern pillow top mattresses. However, they should not be excessive (see the manufacturer warranty card for acceptable levels).
Turning is generally not required in most modern mattresses. However, you will still need to regularly rotate the mattress, from top to bottom.
We recommend this is done every 2 weeks in the first 4 months. This is due to the new foam settling in. After that, we recommend rotating every 3 months.
If possible, it will help if you can also spread the load. Do this by sleeping on as much of the surface area as possible in the initial stages, including the middle.
This will help the softer top foams to settle in evenly.
Have you followed the manufacturers recommendations but have developed excessive impressions?
Please contact us if this is the case. If necessary, we will contact the manufacturer on your behalf.
